Most languages offer both a male and a female voice.
Is Hindi text to speech supported, with male and female voices?
Yes — many languages include both a female voice and a male voice that you switch between in the voice menu, including Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Telugu, Malayalam and Catalan. A few languages currently offer a single voice. Type in the native script for the most accurate pronunciation.

Is Tamil or Bengali text to speech available?
Not yet — there is currently no freely-licensed neural voice model for Tamil or Bengali that we can offer, so we do not fake it. Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Urdu are fully supported with natural voices, and we will add more Indian languages the moment open voice models become available.
Why does generation occasionally fail or take longer?
The English and world-language voices run on a free AI service, so at busy moments a request can time out or return an error — clicking Generate again almost always succeeds. Chinese and Korean are the most in-demand voices and may need an extra retry at peak times.
