Text to Speech
Turn any text into natural-sounding AI speech — 16 voices across 11 languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Urdu with male & female options.
Generate as many takes as you like — pick a different voice or tweak the text and regenerate. MP3 conversion happens in your browser; the WAV is the original studio-quality file.
This free text to speech converter reads your text aloud with natural AI voices and lets you download the result as MP3 or studio-quality WAV — no signup, no watermark, no trial limits. Choose from four English accents (American, British, Indian, Australian), Indian languages with real male and female voice pairs — Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Urdu — or Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Paste up to 2,000 characters per take — perfect for YouTube voiceovers, e-learning modules, podcast intros, accessibility, or listening to your own writing to catch awkward sentences.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert text to speech for free?
Paste your text, choose a voice, and click Generate speech — the audio plays right on the page and you can download it as MP3 or WAV for free, with no signup and no watermark. Each take supports up to 2,000 characters, and you can generate as many takes as you need.
Which voices and languages are available?
There are sixteen neural voices across eleven languages: English in four accents (American, British, Indian, Australian), Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam each with male and female voices, Urdu, plus Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. All voices are neural AI models, so they sound natural rather than robotic.
Is Hindi text to speech supported, with male and female voices?
Yes — Hindi has both a female voice and a male voice, and you can switch between them from the voice menu. Telugu and Malayalam also come in male and female pairs, and Urdu has a male voice. Type your text in the native script (Devanagari for Hindi) for the most accurate pronunciation.
Can I download the speech as MP3?
Yes — click Download MP3 to save a compact MP3, or Download WAV for the original uncompressed audio. The MP3 conversion happens inside your browser, so the audio quality is preserved and nothing extra is uploaded anywhere.
Can I use the generated voice in YouTube videos?
Yes — the generated audio can be used in your own projects such as YouTube voiceovers, e-learning, presentations, and podcasts. The speech comes from open voice models (MeloTTS and Piper), and this tool adds no watermark or usage restriction of its own.
How much text can I convert at once?
Each generation accepts up to 2,000 characters, which is roughly 300 words or about two minutes of speech. For longer scripts, split the text into sections, generate each part, and join the files — you can create unlimited takes for free.
Is Tamil or Bengali text to speech available?
Not yet — there is currently no freely-licensed neural voice model for Tamil or Bengali that we can offer, so we do not fake it. Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Urdu are fully supported with natural voices, and we will add more Indian languages the moment open voice models become available.
Why does generation occasionally fail or take longer?
The English and world-language voices run on a free AI service, so at busy moments a request can time out or return an error — clicking Generate again almost always succeeds. Chinese and Korean are the most in-demand voices and may need an extra retry at peak times.
